Join us for a special event exploring the evolving role of women in the British Army, both before and after the landmark changes of 1992. This insightful talk will be led by Barbara, the Royal Hospital Chelsea’s first female Chelsea Pensioner Tour Guide, who will share her own experiences alongside stories from other female Chelsea Pensioners. The talk will also draw on themes from our International Women’s Day exhibition, which will be on display throughout the weekend, and guests will have the chance to enjoy an exclusive preview alongside Barbara. Following the talk, guests are invited on a 45-minute guided tour of the Royal Hospital Chelsea grounds, led by Barbara herself, offering a unique perspective on the site’s history through the eyes of its first female tour guide. There are limited spaces for this unique event. Book your tickets now!...
