About the performance: There comes a moment in life when each of us must look into the mirror and face our own reflection. But how ready are we to truly confront what we see? And what happens when the shadows of others blur the image before us? Mirrors is a deeply human and profoundly timely play about the truth of existence - a lyrical yet powerful exploration of the essence of life. Three women, in three different cities: in New York, Linda Anderson, a bank employee; in Thessaloniki, Corinna Papadaki, an office worker; and in Rome, Malena Conti, a lyrical mezzo-soprano. Each stands before the dead end of an unfulfilled and empty life. Time, memory, and the fragile balances of their personalities reveal that those who once defined them are now nothing more than shadows in the mirror of their souls. Through a painful yet liberating journey, the three heroines reach a place of redemption. They find the strength to shed everything that distorts their reflection. Mirrors illuminate - with both grace and intensity - the fragments of memory we consciously or unconsciously push toward oblivion.
