2nd Celebration of Walking in Bingley

Visit the website for start time of each walk. All walks are free, though voluntary donations are welcomed. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, and organisers encourage participants to arrive by public transport. Walk leaders are experienced but participants take part at their own risk.

The Bingley Celebration of Walking 2026 takes place on Monday 4th May 2026 (May Bank Holiday), organised by Bingley Walkers are Welcome. It's a free event featuring five guided walks of varying difficulty, all starting from Market Square in Bingley, West Yorkshire. The five walks on offer are: - Harden Valley (Hard, ~5 hours) – an 11-mile circular route taking in woodlands, waterfalls, Hewenden Viaduct and moorland - Micklethwaite, Three and Five Rise Locks (Moderate, ~2 hours) – a 3.5-mile semi-rural route finishing along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal - Norr Hill Trig Point (Moderate, ~4 hours) – a 6-mile walk climbing to an 859ft summit with panoramic Aire Valley views - Hirst Wood / May Blossom Walk (Moderate, ~3 hours) – a 5-mile route along the Aire Valley to Saltaire's Roberts Park and back - Bingley Heritage Trail (Easy, ~2 hours) – a family-friendly 3-mile circular walk exploring Bingley's history...
