Mon 23 Mar 26
Monday March 23rd at 7.30 pm. Free, just turn up.
Shirley House, 31 Psalter Lane, Sheffield S11 8YL
The vision of Shirley House Interfaith Centre is to be a place for dialogue, friendship and mutual understanding, in recognition of our common humanity and in celebration of the wonderfully diverse faith communities of Sheffield. By meeting in a spirit of mutual respect, we hope to learn about one another’s faiths and beliefs and thereby to deepen our understanding of our own. To achieve this, we hold open meetings approximately once a month, which include talks, social events, discussion groups, ‘show and tell’ presentations, and film shows, and we always include refreshments. Our regular attenders are from Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Pagan and Humanist traditions but we welcome anyone from any, or no, faith background. On Monday, March 23rd at 7.30 pm we are having a practical 'Greeting Card Making meeting., led by Clare Loughridge, a semi-professional maker of greeting cards for all occasions, such as faith-based seasonal or personal celebrations. Colouring, cutting and sticking – learn some tips for producing personalised, professional-looking greeting cards. A chance to chat and learn together. Refreshments included. Everyone welcome, of all faiths or none...
