This friendly, theory-based course is the perfect introduction to the world of beekeeping. Designed especially for beginners, no prior knowledge or experience is required. Led by John Shepherd, an experienced beekeeper and smallholder with over 40 years of experience, the course will help you understand the fascinating lifecycle of the honey bee and the fundamentals of keeping a healthy hive. You’ll also learn about the essential equipment you’ll need and what’s involved through the beekeeping year. This is a theory-led course, perfect for anyone curious about what's involved in getting started.
