Join us for our spring family fun event themed around home. Visit the exhibition and enjoy hands-on activities to help explore nursing’s global roots through the idea of leaving and going home. Activities are aimed at ages 4-11, and most are drop-in throughout the afternoon. We will also have a bookable poetry writing session for 11-14 year-olds from 2-2.30pm. Please book for this alongside the rest of your event tickets. Memory Boxes with artist Abolore Sobayo - A unique and family-friendly workshop celebrating the journeys and contributions of migrant nurses in the UK. This interactive arts activity offers a safe and creative space to reflect, share, and honour stories of migration, resilience, and care. Children will create their own “Memory Box” using meaningful objects, symbols, and memories that represent their journey. All materials provided - just bring your memories! Writing Home with poet Jennifer Wong - Come along and learn how to create your own poems about multicultural London using writing prompts: photos, video clips, objects from exhibition and more! Selected entries will be put on display in the RCN Library and Museum and participants will receive special edition pin badges. (drop-in for age 10 and under between 1-2pm and 3-4pm; booked session for 11-14 year-olds, 2 – 2.30pm) Storytelling with Giles Abbott - Listen to stories from around the world with storyteller Giles Abbott in regular story sessions. Perfect for younger children, from age 2-8. Exhibition Family Trail - Follow our guided trail around the exhibition, with a prize for all successfully completed trails. This event is open to all and takes place in person only. If you have any questions or accessibility needs, please contact us on rcn.library@rcn.org.uk or 0345 337 3368...
