One of the aspects of Shakespeare we are coming to appreciate, more and more, especially in these days of growing environmental destruction, is his deep love for and knowledge of nature. In this talk Michael McCarthy illuminates how, more than any contemporary writer, and more than most writers ever, Shakespeare packs his plays and poems with often-dazzling images of and reference to the natural world - for example, to more than 100 plant species and more than 60 species of birds.
