Taproom Session @ Flack Manor

Standard advance tickets are available for £6, with OTD tickets at £8.
We also have limited concession tickets for unwaged/students/charity workers/blue light card holders priced at £4 a ticket.
The Taproom will be open at 4 pm with music beginning at 4:30 pm. The taproom will close at 7 pm after the live music ends.

Join us on Sunday, the 10th of May, for a celebration of independent music. We will be bringing you a selection of four independent artists to Flack's Taproom. Catch live acoustic music alongside fresh local beer. Red Light Spies Formed in a dimly lit garage tucked away in Southampton, we quickly bonded over a shared love for dynamic riffs, introspective lyrics, and heart-pounding beats. Our sound is a blend of raw, gritty energy fused with hypnotic indie grooves. Drawing inspiration from the Arctic Monkeys' sharp energy, the intensity of Queens of the Stone Age, and the psychedelic rhythms of The Stone Roses, we strive to create a sound that's both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. With every track, we aim to carve out something uniquely ours—while still tapping into the timeless elements of rock that we’ve always loved. Simon Maggs & People like us Simon Maggs (guitar & vocals), Gary Winstanley (guitar) and Chris Bluemel (violin) are three-fifths of indie folk band People Like Us. Literate, indie-folkie songs blend catchy melodies with wry lyrical storytelling, rich with relatable real-life themes and occasional kitchen-sink narratives. Their sound draws inspiration from the likes of Billy Bragg, Paul Heaton, The Smiths, and Frank Turner — mixing folk charm with a touch of protest and plenty of heart. Recent releases like Baby Boomers, Cartoon Fantasy, and One For The Teenagers showcase their upbeat, melodic side, while tracks like Two Legs Better reveals a darker more, reflective edge and Last Man Standing brings out a rockabilly side.
