Fingers of Flame is a high-energy, typewriter slam poetry night in London where words fly fast, the crowd gets loud, and creativity takes centre stage. You don’t need to be a poet, performer, or even a confident writer to join in. This night is all about fun, spontaneity, and having a go. You can jump on stage or stay in the audience -- cheering, suggesting prompts, and soaking it all in. There’s no pressure, just encouragement, laughter, and a room full of people rooting for great writing in all its forms. What to expect: A live, competitive slam poetry game using typewriters. Audience-generated topics and prompts. Crowd members hopping on stage to go head-to-head. A gladiator-style decision for the winner. Plenty of audience participation whether you perform or not.
