11am - 2pm, free drop-in activity Physicians' Gallery, 11 Queen Street EH2 1JQ Come and learn how you were made when a sperm from your father got together with an egg from your mother. Find out how the new, barely visible you first sought out the protection of your mother’s womb. Discover how, with her nourishment, you grew bigger and performed some spectacular contortions, turning you into a little person ready to be born. Meet the scientists: David Price: I studied medicine before turning to a career in research aimed at discovering how our brains grow. I am now a Professor at the University of Edinburgh. Norah Spears: I am a Professor at the University of Edinburgh, carrying out research in reproductive biology looking at how eggs and sperm develop. Agnes: I am a Senior Lecturer in Reproductive Biology at the University of Edinburgh. My research explores whether certain medicines can influence how the eggs and sperm develop.
