Sounds Sublime Festival 2026: Youth Voices Workshop

Come and hear some of London’s most vibrant youth choirs as secondary school children from across the Capital join together for an inspiring afternoon of music-making. Participants will be supported by an octet of singers from The Sixteen, led by conductor Matthew Quinn. We welcome both youth choir groups and young people aged 12-18yrs attending on their own. Some experience of singing in a choir, singing in harmony and basic music reading is required. The session will include: Vocal warm-ups Repertoire learning A Q&A with members of The Sixteen A short, informal sharing (approx. 15 minutes) We will be working on Let Me Walk in Peace – a newly commissioned piece by Will Todd and The Nightingale – a new arrangement by Lucy Walker. Scores and recordings will be sent after registration to support preparation. While singers are not expected to be fully note-perfect, some familiarity with the music will help you get the most from the session. There is no charge for singers taking part.
