Sounds Sublime Festival 2026: Youth Voices Workshop

Pricing: Free, but ticketed St James's Church, 197 Piccadilly, London W1J 9LL Come and hear some of London’s most vibrant youth choirs as secondary school children from across the Capital join together for an inspiring afternoon of music-making. Participants will be supported by an octet of singers from The Sixteen, led by conductor Matthew Quinn. We welcome both youth choir groups and young people aged 12-18yrs attending on their own. Some experience of singing in a choir, singing in harmony and basic music reading is required. The session will include: Vocal warm-ups Repertoire learning A Q&A with members of The Sixteen A short, informal sharing (approx. 15 minutes) We will be working on Let Me Walk in Peace – a newly commissioned piece by Will Todd and The Nightingale – a new arrangement by Lucy Walker. Scores and recordings will be sent after registration to support preparation. While singers are not expected to be fully note-perfect, some familiarity with the music will help you get the most from the session. There is no charge for singers taking part.
