Step beyond the ordinary and through the portal to the Kingdom of Loxwood - an immersive festival of feasting, festivity, thrilling battles and a mysterious masquerade returns to West Sussex in August 2026. Venture into the Kingdom of Loxwood next summer for the spectacle of the season: The Loxwood Joust. Hidden within the rolling West Sussex countryside, this living realm is where mystery and fantasy intertwine. Inviting guests to lose themselves in the tales of brave knights, lavish banquets, live music and dancing – all in celebration of Queen Helena and Prince Peatre’s first year of marriage beneath the summer sun and forest shadows. Taking place over the first three weekends in August 2026 (1st – 16th), the Loxwood Joust invites adventurers to step into a world where fantasy life bursts into vivid reality. Wanderers can witness live jousting tournaments, explore daring quests, move to the rhythms of traditional music, dance alongside costumed performers and even camp overnight under the stars. Whether cheering on valiant knights, feasting like royalty or admiring majestic birds of prey in flight, this action-packed celebration lets guests of all ages lose themselves in the enchantment of the day. Side tales, secret quests and evolving storylines sweep newcomers and returning explorers alike into a fresh adventure each year. This summer is a royal celebration of love, harmony and mystery as Queen Helena hosts The Masquerade - a magical tribute to their first wedding anniversary! The grand finale will see the Kingdom alive with masked revelry, traditional dancing, and a sumptuous feast beneath a canopy of fluttering banners.
