Yeadon care home to welcome community for football-themed fair

Weavers Court Naylor Avenue Rawdon Yeadon West Yorkshire LS19 7FG Excitement is building at a care home in Yeadon as it prepares to open its doors to its football-themed fun fair. On Saturday 13th June, from 10am-4.30pm, Care UK’s Weavers Court, on Naylor Avenue, will be hosting a day packed with live music, community stalls and fun activities for all ages. Visitors can put their football skills to the test in a series of activities led by Leeds United mascot Lucas the Kop Cat and a special guest, as well as a variety of crafts, where participants can design their very own team strip. There will also be plenty of classic fair favourites, including a tombola and raffle, with fantastic prizes up for grabs. Sarah Kunica, Home Manager at Weavers Court, said: “We’re excited to welcome the local community to our football-themed summer fair, along with Leeds United’s mascot, plus a special guest. “Our annual fair is always popular among Yeadon locals; it’s a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together to enjoy the summer of sport and share their favourite football stories. “We’ve got some great activities planned, with something for all ages, so we hope to see lots of families, friends and neighbours come along to share in the fun.” Weavers Court is a state-of-the-art care home that provides residential and dementia care on a permanent and respite basis.
