Standen West Hoathly Road East Grinstead RH19 4NE A vibrant new exhibition for the summer by some of the UK's most exciting makers, bringing contemporary creativity into the heart of the Arts & Crafts house at Standen. 'Inspired by Standen' is presented in partnership with Sussex Contemporary. Booking not needed. This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue. Thursday 2 July to Wednesday 30 September 2026, 11am to 4pm Inspired by Standen is a joyful celebration of creativity, heritage, and the living legacy of the Arts & Crafts movement brought to life through the work of today’s most exciting makers. Showcasing work by today’s makers, designers, and artisans, the exhibition celebrates the enduring spirit of the Arts & Crafts movement - craftsmanship, beauty in utility, and a deep respect for materials. Fresh new pieces will be displayed throughout Standen’s historic interiors, creating an exciting conversation between the house’s original Arts & Crafts design and the fresh perspectives of modern makers. A curated display anchors the exhibition, with additional pieces placed across the house to highlight the movement’s continuing influence. All works will be available for purchase throughout the three-month exhibition, giving the opportunity to take home exceptional contemporary craft.
