Smarden Christmas Fair has been held every year since 1985 except in 2020 - cancelled due to COVID! This year its on Saturday 31 October 2026
25 stalls from charities and craftspeople, an extensive range of Christmas cards & gifts.
All kinds of sewing & crochet, children’s clothes & books, puppets; tea towels, personalised tote bags, silver jewellery, paintings, scented candles, soaps, bird boxes, polished wood gifts, lavender oils and much more.

Bring cash & cards for your purchases – only some stalls have a card machine.
Being raffled is a fabulous hamper worth over £50 with all kinds of goodies provided by Smarden Community Store.
Catering and delectables for your enjoyment during the Fair.
All profits from running the Fair are distributed among the charities that are in attendance, for example last year we had Canine Partners, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Labrador Rescue, Hi Kent, Kent Musculo-skeletal Therapy Centre, Pilgrim’s Hospices; and we distributed £750 among them.
Smarden is a beautiful Kentish village - All of the main street is a conservation area with houses of historical and architectural interest - A visit to Smarden Village, the children's playground and the 2026 Christmas Fair in the beautiful Smarden Charter Hall is a worthwhile outing for all ages.
