Get ready to get messy, creative, and hands-on with nature! Join us as we make wildflower seed bombs, little clay balls packed with pollinator-friendly seeds. There are also activities happening at the Dorset Wildlife Trust's Wildlife Centre too!
We’re rolling up our sleeves and diving into one of our favourite nature-friendly activities making wildflower seed bombs. These little clay balls are packed with pollinator-loving seeds, and they’re a brilliant way for families to get creative while helping local wildlife thrive.
During the session, children can mix, squish, and shape their own seed bombs, learning how each ingredient plays a part in helping wildflowers grow. Once dried, the seed bombs can be taken home and tossed into a garden, planter, or any patch of soil. With a bit of rain and sunshine, they’ll break apart and release a burst of colour that supports bees, butterflies, and other tiny visitors.
It’s messy, sensory, and full of discovery, a perfect blend of crafting and conservation. Come along, get your hands muddy, and help us spread a little wild magic across our green spaces.
On top of all this you can also enjoy more activities happening at the Dorset Wildlife Trust's Wildlife and Wetland Centre. Once down there enjoy the Nature Lab and all the extra pop up activities that the team have to offer...
