Stamford Corn Exchange PE9 1PX Macbeth Calling all English GCSE students, teachers and literature lovers! Dickens Theatre Company proudly presents Macbeth, Shakespeare’s bloodiest tragedy, arriving at the Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre in January 2027. In this inventive adaptation, Shakespeare’s Chorus becomes our narrator, guiding audiences through the tangled web of ambition, betrayal and dark prophecy with engaging modern verse. Performed by an ensemble of just six actors, this fast-paced, text-faithful production brings the Scottish Play vividly to life through dynamic multi-roling performance. Set against a backdrop of war, witchery and treason, Macbeth remains chillingly relevant in the 21st century. “What’s done cannot be undone!” Part of DTC’s highly acclaimed Revision on Tour programme (alongside Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde and A Christmas Carol), this accessible Macbeth is specifically designed to support GCSE English study while remaining entertaining for all audiences. All matinee performances also include the option to stay for a free 20-minute post-show Q&A with the cast and director, a hugely popular addition for school groups, giving students the chance to ask questions, deepen their understanding of the text and explore the production further. School group rates available £17 per student, for a school booking phone into 01780 766455 or email info@stamfordcornexchange.co.uk Run time: 1 hour 45 minutes (including interval). Allow an extra 20 minutes if you’re staying for the post-show Q&A. Recommended age: 8+ Adapted & directed by Ryan Philpott Music by Paul Higgs...
