Heritage Open Day: Come and enjoy this beautiful landscape and learn how people have lived off this common land for centuries. New displays and a self-guided walk will help you uncover the unique local heritage of the Clee hills. Learn about how people in this area sustainably managed the landscape to survive in this sometimes harsh environment. With the coming of industry to Clee Hill, large numbers of workers came to make this home. To claim a plot of land, they had to make their houses themselves overnight using whatever there was to hand. By dawn, if there was a fire in the hearth, they claimed the land to live on and farm. Help us design our house in a night by making your own scale model from the same materials...
