Heritage Open Day: Leeds Cathedral - the Cathedral Church of St Anne - is the Mother Church of the Catholic Diocese of Leeds. It is a Grade II* Listed Building, completed in 1904 and today is widely recognised as an outstanding example of Arts & Crafts architecture. The tours begin with a brief introduction to the history of the Cathedral. This is followed by a guided tour of the interior which explores the art and architecture of the building in more detail, including the fruits of a major restoration and reordering scheme carried out in 2005-6. On the afternoons of Saturday 12 September and Saturday 19 September there will also be an opportunity to visit the bell tower.
