Heritage Open Day: Grade 1 Listed Church St Mary the Virgin, Carisbrooke, is a medieval Church of England parish church on High Street in Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight. The church is believed to date from the Norman period and is part of the former Carisbrooke Priory, which developed from the 12th century. The church has a fine south arcade, from this period, and a fine 15th century tower built by the monks of Sheen in Surrey when the original priory was dissolved by Henry V in the early 15th century.
