Heritage Open Day: Join us at Crowle Peatland Railway, where the history of peat extraction on Thorne & Crowle Moors comes alive. This free event celebrates our local heritage and will include engaging local history talks and exhibitions. The Crowle Peatland Railway preserves and celebrates the industrial narrow-gauge railways that once served the peat extraction industry across Thorne and Crowle Moors. Our volunteer-run organisation is dedicated to conserving this important aspect of local heritage for future generations.
