Heritage Open Day: Visit Fishbourne Roman Palace, the largest Roman home in Britain. Stroll around the recreated Roman gardens – the earliest gardens found anywhere in the country – and enjoy the largest collection of mosaics in situ in the UK. Fishbourne Roman Palace is the largest known Roman residential palace north of the Alps. Built around AD 75, it features remarkably preserved mosaics, archaeological remains, reconstructed Roman gardens, and an on-site museum.
