Welcome to Dundee Songwriters Nights presented by Face the Music - after a wee break we're back!The format will be a round-robin, with each artist taking a turn to sing one of their songs and tell us the story behind it.The event is inspired by visiting The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, where they host regular songwriter rounds.Another key aspect is the small room with a listening audience: which we'll recreate in Dundee, in a secret location in the city's west end.Come along and enjoy a wonderful Friday night of music, in a cosy compact venue with fellow music lovers and a reasonably-priced bar.These events champion original musicians, and any surplus helps fund community music projects. Our previously events have raised over 1300 so far: funding therapeutic music in schools, with older adults, and weekly drop-in sessions.Nicola Madill has become known for her atmospheric and emotionally rich songwriting. With the launch of a new album and a full UK tour supporting Martin Stephenson in 2025, she is sharing her music with a wider audience.Roseanne Reid released two new songs in August before a special guest appearance with Steve Earle, who describes her as an outstanding songwriter - and she has a new album coming later this year.Greenback is a songwriter accompanying vocals on intricately played bass guitar. She describes her music as sunset songs - and you can hear this in the atmospheric creations...
