Create your own bespoke decorations by cutting glass and experimenting with glass frit, stringers and confetti to create a range of Christmas pieces such as snowmen and Christmas trees. You will be taught about the fusing process, so this course is ideal for beginners and improvers.
You will learn which types of fusing glass and embellishments are compatible and then create two of your own designs. These will incorporate hanging loops in order for you to display them when they are finished. You will be encouraged to try some practical experiments and will benefit from the technical information and supervision provided by your tutor.
NOTE: Due to the firing and cooling down processes involved with all glassmaking it is not possible for participants to take work home on the day it is made. Your pieces will be fired, in a kiln, and posted out to you after the workshop at no extra cost.
What do you need to bring?
Just bring yourself, your enthusiasm and a pair of closed-toed shoes (no open-toed footwear). All of your materials and tools will be provided.
