Aeham Ahmad is a Palestinian/Syrian pianist, awarded with the International Beethoven Prize for Human Rights 2015 and author of the autobiography The Pianist of Yarmouk, BBC Radio 4 book of the week in March 2019. Aeham Ahmad had to flee his country due to the war. He currenlty lives in Germany with his family and gives concerts all over Europe, giving a voice to all those who suffer the violence of war in Syria.
