Kennet Opera’s main show for the year is Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Fully staged with orchestra, and sung in English, the show brings Papageno, Sarastro, the Queen of the Night and other weird and wonderful characters to the Arlington Arts Centre, near Newbury. Ranking among the top ten most performed operas, The Magic Flute is a tune-packed pantomime. So Join us all as we seek truth, reason and enlightenment (and a fun night out)!
We’re delighted to welcome Robert Felstead and Hannah Dobra, in the roles of Tamino and Queen of the Night. Robert is a Swindon-based tenor who regularly performs with choral societies in and around the South West, recently including Bath Opera and Swindon Gilbert and Sullivan Society. Hannah has taken principal roles with Guildford Opera, Ryedale Festival Opera, Brent Opera, Chelsmford Opera, City Opera and Benslow Baroque Opera.
