Lost Stories: A Cross-cultural Visual Response to Identity
3rd -10th October 2020
Opening Night: 2nd October 6 - 9pm

Surface Gallery is delighted to present Lost Stories, a collaborative exhibition bringing together a cross-cultural visual response from four female artists.
Lost Stories explores issues of identity and its socio-political context, as well as varying perspectives of conscious and unconscious worlds. This culminates in a collection of 2D and 3D works, as well as multimedia installations. From tales of war and oppression, to a concern with the black female body and its movement through space, and an enquiry into the hidden world of the unconscious, the artists tell their stories.
Lost Stories opens in the Main Gallery in conjunction with Cauldron Born: How Long I Have Thirsted to be a God among Men, a solo exhibition by Amelia Seren Roberts in the Project Space. As always, there will be a donations bar with ales from the local brewery, Pheasentry.
