Cobham Players presents two one-act plays:
Barbecue, written by Stephen Scheurer-Smith and directed by Graham Budd and
Under Milk Wood (abridged), written by Dylan Thomas and directed by Rodney Pearson.
Barbecue: Newly-arrived Lydia and Edward decide to hold a barbecue to meet the neighbours, but from eco-warrior Kate to pushy property developer Trevor, they soon realise that they are ringmasters at a circus of warring factions!
Under Milk Wood: A day in the life of a small Welsh fishing village. This is the stage version of Dylan Thomas’s lyrical masterpiece. This production (with the same cast) won the runner-up award at the National Drama Festivals Association’s 2021 festival at the Albany Theatre, Coventry in July.
