HOPE - Weaving Communities together Exhibition

Hope - weaving communities together exhibition 18th Sept - 31st Oct opening times Wednesday - Saturday 10am-4pm (last entry 3.30pm) Maidstone Museum Artist Elaine Foster-Gandey Artist Elaine Foster-Gandey has worked closely with local communities to create ‘Hope’, a giant sculptural dress woven with words of hope as we step back out into the world. ‘HOPE’ was an idea by artist Elaine Foster-Gandey, born out of the need to reconnect after such a difficult time with the Covid pandemic. Weaving words of hope from local people into a dress sculpture, allowing voices to be heard who are normally invisible is the ethos behind this work. Through various workshops people have been given the chance to reconnect and learn skills while contributing to ‘Hope’.
