Heritage Open Day: Visitors can enjoy an exhibition showing the history and development of the Town Hall over more than 400 years, guided tours on offer. This is an historic 17th Century Grade 1 listed building which celebrated its 400 year anniversary in 2018. The building has many original features. Built as an open arcaded market hall in 1618 it has been owned and managed on behalf of the people of Alcester since 1919 when it was purchased as a War Memorial to commemorate local people who gave their lives in the First World War.
Today it is used for music events, private functions, exhibitions and as a meeting place for local organisations. Explore the Jurors' Room and see the original Town stocks and the door to the gaol.
