Church House, Alcester

Heritage Open Day: Grade 2 listed timber-framed former dwelling refurbished to provide modern facilities. Once a grand medieval timber-framed dwelling house with a utility house to the rear, the front house was converted to Edwardian Meeting Hall in 1910 to form 'Church House' for use of St Nicholas Church as a Mission Room. The back section had earlier been converted to a coach house and stables for the former Rectory next door and remained functional as stables until the mid-1960s after which it became derelict. Between 2008 - 2016 the whole building was carefully redeveloped and restored under conservation constraints to provide a modern kitchen, toilets, with meeting rooms above for St Nicholas Church and the Alcester community.

Sat 18 Sep:12:00 - 16:00. Sun 19 Sep:12:00 - 16:00. Free Entry.
