Devon History Society presents a retrospective ‘Edible England’ tour around Devon in the 1920s with detailed information about where visitors and tourists would have been encouraged to stop to sample the best Devon produce. Destinations include those offering the most glorious cream teas or farmhouse teas, the smartest surroundings, the exotic American soda fountain, the homely Devonshire split or pasty, the crab sandwich and the laverbread, the best Devon cider and even a temperance hotel.
