AMMONITE (15) at Pembridge Film Nights

Francis Lee's fictional account of the life of 19th century palaeontologist Mary Anning packs emotional force. Kate Winslet plays pioneering scientist Anning, with Saoirse Ronan as the married woman on a rest cure who becomes her companion. Set in the seaside town of Lyme Regis, it shows up how women have traditionally been erased from history of science but above all, it is a love story of extraordinary intimacy. Please be aware that this film contains scenes with explicit sexual content. A shiveringly passionate period piece - Telegraph

Doors open 7pm, film starts 7.30pm.

Flicks in the Sticks smallest venue - only 25 seats. You can book at the Buy Tickets link below.
