Brecon Town Concert Band/Talgarth Male Voice Choir - 50th Anniversary Concert. The Band celebrates the 50th anniversary of their first concert in April 1968. A varied programme of music that has featured in their repertoire since 1968. From classical through marches to Henry Mancini and George Gershwin.
Boro is an ancient Japanese textile art, using make do and mend to upcycle and making beautiful new items, using scraps. This workshop will be run by Jo Weenink from Llanelly Hill. Bring your owns scraps (although some will be provided). Needle and special Sashiko thread will be provided.

The huge mechanical puppet, which resembles a giant miner, is set to visit seven of south Wales’s most important industrial heritage locations for a week of celebrations from 08 – 12 April 2018.
To celebrate Big Pit’s 35th Anniversary and to deliver this year’s Annual Lecture, we are honoured to welcome back Brian Davies, Big Pit’s first Research Assistant and Education Officer. The lecture will look at what Welsh coal was used for and where it was exported.
