Terraced courtyard garden developed since 2009 surrounded by old stone walls enclosing cottage style planting and formal hedging. 5yrs ago work started on the old kitchen walled garden with a view to incorporating it within the whole garden plan. A chance to see a new garden evolving within an old setting.
Here are three town gardens of different styles. Llys Allen is an ex farmhouse and its cottage garden, fruit trees, water feature and hidden areas gives it a lovely atmosphere. Next door the garden at Tryfan has been designed by a busy family to keep work to a minimum.

Overlooking the stunning Vale of Clwyd the historic market town of Denbigh has more listed buildings than any other town in Wales with a 13C castle at the top of the hill. All these gardens sit within the ancient town walls.
The garden is surrounded by mature trees. Spring borders with camellias and rhododendrons, followed by herbaceous borders offering colour and variety of planting. The borders provide fragrance with roses climbing up obelisks. A tender plant area and fern bed sit amongst the cottage garden plants.
Garden developed over last 4 to 5 years and now looking mature. Mixed herbaceous and shrub borders, with some choice small trees all set in fully stocked sinuous borders. In June, peaonies and roses come to the fore, but there are plenty of other genus, too.
Willaston Grange returns after opening for the first time last year. The gardens extend to almost 6 acres with a small lake, wide range of mature and rare trees, herbaceous borders, woodland and vegetable gardens, orchard and magical tree house.
