Parkers Lodge is set on the site of a demolished Victorian Mill that was used for bleaching. Since the houses were completed in 2014 a small group of volunteers have been working to transform what was a jungle into a manicured wild space that still allows the local wildlife to flourish.
2 gardens both open for the first time. The first is a suburban garden created over the past 9 years from a blank canvas into a creative oasis. Organically managed to attract birds, bees and butterflies. Stunning views across fields to Knowl Hill.

Volunteers from the Northern Mill Engine Society have rescued and restored 30 old stationary steam engines - some of the engines which once powered the cotton mills and woollen mills of the North of England. The collection includes 2 rare beam engines (the oldest is 180 years old!
