Novelist Louis de Bernières, author of the best-seller Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, is headlining the Margate Bookie from 5-7 May. He will discuss his career, read from his novels and answer questions from the audience.
He is one of thirty authors taking part in the event.

During April Brogdale will also celebrate Hanami – the Japanese festival of blossom with a packed Hanami festival day on 21st April and Hanami Picnic experiences available throughout the whole of April.
Hanami is the Japanese festival dedicated to cherry blossom (sakura) and is celebrated across Japan every year. Brogdale is one of the only places in the UK to celebrate Hanami and with the largest collection of fruit trees in the world, we really do have a sight to see!
