Ongoing reclamation of neglected woodland garden. Vegetables and courtyard garden. New plantings from modern day plant hunters. Mature trees, bamboo, rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias, camellias, other choice shrubs with a stream on all sides crossed by bridges. Snowdrops and winter beauty, 1st winter opening. Stout shoes recommended. Open:Sats 25 Feb; 12 May, Sun 13 May (1.30-4.30).
Admission £2 Feb, £3.50 May, Children free. Times:1.30-4.30. Telephone:01300 341345. Visitors also welcome by appointment. Open for charity.
