Japan Day is a great introduction to the beguiling country that is Japan. There will be displays and demonstrations of Japanese crafts and activities including Ikebana, Ningyo (Japanese dolls), Embroidery, Koto and Shamisen playing, Taiko drumming, the 'Awa Odori' dance, Shodo (the art of Japanese calligraphy), the art of Tea Ceremony, martial arts displays, Kimono-dressing, a Cosplay competition, Maid Dances, manga-artist stalls and Harajuku fashion.
