St Michael & All Angels' Parish Church
Heritage Open Day: This beautiful church, with its fascinating Savage Chapel complete with windows from the William Morris Studio, and superb 17th century Earl Rivers monument by Stanton, is well worth a visit.
There will be displays recounting the early church history from its foundation by Queen Eleanor of Castile in 1278. As a prelude to WW II events the theme will be Macclesfield foresters and archers and long bowmen who took part in the Crusades and the battles of Crecy, Poitier and Aginco
