In association with the Manchester Museum and their Egyptology specialists, an exciting exhibition about mummified animals is coming to Lyme. In the early 1800s, Thomas Legh travelled to unexplored areas of Egypt, taking part in digs and excavations along the way.

Watch heavy horses in action in the garden this summer. After a successful trial in 2016, two logging horses will be dredging the ponds in the garden for a month, in full view of the public. As well as watching them in action, you’ll be able to ask our staff and volunteers questions about the project.
Join the Hare Hill Ranger for an insight into Ranger life. An informative walk around the varied landscape of the Hare Hill estate with one of our Rangers. You’ll learn about the day to day running of the park, and find out more about the life of a National Trust Ranger. The walk will last 1-2 hours.
Lost Voices explores the experiences of women whose stories were not heard, and which are often lost to us today because of their age, status or means. Installations across Quarry Bank will bring their voices to life.
We’ve teamed up with Sarah Parker Fitness to offer a weekly outdoor postnatal fitness class for mums and babies involving a group walk with buggies, cardio, strength and flexibility exercises in the beautiful outdoors at Lyme.

A series of social walks on circular routes of around 5km within the Historic Estate of Lyme Park. NWUK Freedom Passport needed for these walks. Nestling on the edge of the Peak District, Lyme was once home to the Legh family and in its heyday a great sporting estate.

Mossley Cricket Club will be running All Stars Cricket which is an initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket.
There will be loads of fun for all the family in Sandbach Park on Saturday 30th June with lots of extra free activities. Children and adults can join in organised team games, such as cricket, football and basketball in the multi sports area.
