Heritage Open Day: When I speak at the inspiring Holy Trinity Church on the 12th September during the Hull Heritage Weekend I will be stepping back in time. Not quite as far back as 700 years which is roughly how long this parish church has been serving the people of Hull, but of 150 years ago, the 19th century, which is my preferred period of story telling. A time of dire poverty, hardship and low expectation for many, but with the promise of change, of discovery, optimism and hope.
