Caleb's Place

Heritage Open Day: Until 2011 Humber Street was the centre of Hull's (and for many decades the North of England and Scotland’s) Import and Wholesale Fruit and Flower Market. Caleb's Place, originally known as The Humber Fruit Brokers, was a Wesleyan Chapel, subsequently used as the fruit auction house, bombed in 1941 and rebuilt in 1948 in the Art Deco style, including a large prestigious boardroom with exquisite Parquet floor, panelled walls and built in marquetry clock.
