Bolton Percy Gatehouse

Heritage Open Day: This 15th century timber framed gatehouse was restored by the Vivat Trust in April 2010. The gatehouse originally marked the entrance to a courtyard of medieval buildings. The intricate carvings on the internal beams indicate its 'high status' and imply that it was used as more than just a look out post. Today the gatehouse is rented for holidays.
