St Matthew & St Oswald Church
Heritage Open Day: The original church was built in1864, the architect being A Smith who also designed The Royal Courts of Justice, London. The church was considerably enlarged in 1881 when the nave and chapel were added. There is a fine calvary in the churchyard.
The exhibition of history of the Church will be in the Church Hall which which becomes part of the Church on Sundays when large glass doors are pulled back. The Hall is in fact the original much smaller St Oswald Church
