Shire Horse Society Open Day
See demonstrations of how Shire horses have worked throughout history, including logging, ploughing, pulling drays etc. There will be various stalls, children's entertainment and animal corner, plus bar & refreshments. Fun for all the family. This is the first open day staged by the Shire Horse Society, which works to protect, promote and improve the Shire horse, since it moved to its new HQ at Rockingham near Corby a year ago. Raising money for the Save Our Shires campaign.
10am to 3pm. Entrance free to children under 12 and Shire Horse Society members. Entry £5 on the gate, with free parking.
