Bassenthwaite Festival.

The second of three concerts of this friendly annual festival of Baroque music, given by Cumbrian chamber group, Ensemble Buxtehude. A lunchtime appetiser of charming and sun-filled sonatas for cello and harpsichord by 18th century Italian composers Vivaldi, Geminiani and Lanzetti. Delightful music, excellent friendly musicians, wonderful refreshments, all in the idyllic setting of this small historic church by the Lake – ‘a jewel of Lakeland!’
