Booth Mansion

Heritage Open Day: One of the most deceptive buildings in Chester, this early Georgan mansion (1700) conceals two medieval town houses of the 13th century. Evidence of these early structures can be seen within the rear of the building and along the Row where there are two massive stone arches. Alderman George Booth's interventon is equally impressive and now hosts an art gallery in the elegant reception rooms above row level. For Heritage Open Days there will be a special leaflet available
