Heritage Open Day: The Silk Museum on Park Lane follows the full journey through the industrial process of silk making; explore silk from the cocoon to the loom. With plenty of hands-on exhibits for children and adults alike. The Museum houses our temporary exhibitions as well as our permenant exhibition which explores the properties of silk, design education, Macclesfield's diverse textile industries, workers lives and historic machinery.
