Heritage Open Day: This is the home of the Skiddaw Lodge, built in 1885. Two previous lodges, dating back to 1788 existed, but no records of these are known. This Lodge met in a variety of places, including the Court House and in Market Place. Initially this building in Challoner Street was leased but became the property of the Lodge in 1931.
